So... After a while of being in Brazil I still can't understand the local fashion... It's my personal opinion (and I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with it)... But I can't understand the way most of people dress here...
Maybe they don't really care about the clothes and style cuz its too hot in here and people just want to be comfortable (which is understandable) and don't worry about matching clothes... But I have a feeling that I'm in fashion past... I would say 20 years ago...
I don't want to say all the people dress like that but good 80% look strange to me... There are stylish people... Just the amount of them is very low compare to the others.
One more time, it's my personal opinion and I realize not everyone will agree with it.
One of my friends asked me how the brazilian girls are and if it's true they are super beautiful. Unfortunately for many men, not all the girls here are super pretty with the perfect bodies (unlike what my lovely fiance believes)! Of course there are some beautiful women as you can find everywhere but not all of them came from the Victoria's Secret's catalogue.
Well, I have to say that I'm getting used to living here... And many things don't seem that weird anymore...
I just miss my friends very much... I love you all!!!
P.S.: If you have any suggestions for the topics of my blog or any questions let me know. It will give me some ideas what to write about!
Brazilian life blog
In the middle of December 2012 my fiance and I moved to Brazil... I've never been here before and it wasn't an easy decision for me, especially living in the US for about 4 years. One of my best friends recommend me to get a blog to share my experience and thoughts... So, there you go, my blog about the live in Brazil!

First New Year on the Beach
I miss snow!
That was my feeling when we had a Christmas dinner in the hot weather between palm trees... I felt that the warm atmosphere of spending time with the family and closest people in chilly Christmas Eve is not full with no cold weather and white snow... But it's only for me, the girl that spent 16 years of her life in Siberia :)
But when we arrived to the beach for New Years celebration the feeling of missing the snow vanished away! Beautiful white sand surrounded by green mountains, blue water and sky, and palm trees... Looks like a paradise! How you can miss cold weather when you are in this beauty!!!
For the New Year party we had a table at the bar right on the beach. DJ, drinks, food, samba, and the beach! The best party ever! I definitely can say that it was one of the best New Years party I've ever had!
Thanks to my new family and my fiance!
And one thing I noticed here is a positive energy of the the people partying, dancing samba and singing together... It's just amazing to see so many happy, cheerful people... It's hard to explain this and I think you need to see this to understand... Can't wait till Carnival!!!

I still can't believe I'm here
It's hard to imagine yourself living here... It's very different life style, people, culture and weather... I'm still getting used to the thought that this is the place I'm going to stay for at least couple of years.
As my portuguese teacher, who lives in the USA for more then 8 years, told me: don't compare Brazil and US, it's very different. She was right... When you compare things you will always find something that you like better there then here, you will like more anything that you are used to. So, I'm going to have fund and enjoy every moment!!!
Miss all of my friends and my sister Mari Shten!!!
Love you and Merry Christmas!!!
